JOB SUMMARY
The Surveyor/Inspector performs inspection work according to operating procedures of cargo on vessels, rail/road cars or shore tanks, on terminals and or offshore.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To carry out quantity survey and establish accurate quantities of loading or discharge of vessels, rail/road cars or shore tanks
- To obtain representative samples and carry out quality survey of loading & discharge of vessels, rail/road cars or shore tanks.
- To provide complete and accurate reports, as directed by the Survey Supervisor on above activities.
- To carry out all operations in strict accordance with applicable procedures for operations and safety.
- To assist in identifying and correcting any non-conformances with regards to quality, operational or safety matters.
- To ensure that all activities are performed in compliance with company Quality manuals, following up audits and by completing actions on time.
- Work closely with the Laboratory team to ensure an effective Quality and Quantity service is provided to the customer.
REQUIERMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a comparable organization and role
- Proficient in using several types of computer software (Word, Excel. -PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
- Candidates must demonstrate good English language skills, both written and spoken
- Ability to work independently
- Driving license category B
JOB LOCATION
The main work location (but not limited to) will be Mongstad refinery
