PURPOSE

 AmSpec Singapore (“the Company”) recognizes the importance of developing young professionals or fresh graduates (“collectively referred to as Trainees”) to pursue executive roles within the Company.  This program provides Trainees with comprehensive training and experience in various aspects of our business across a range of functions; the program involves rotational assignments or work projects, industry-specific knowledge training, and mentoring.

This equips Trainees with relevant knowledge and skills and identifies high-potential trainees for their career progression.

POLICY and eligibility

  1. The Policy applies to eligible young professionals or fresh graduates from an accredited institution or university.
  2. Consideration will be given to non-university qualified candidates who have good diploma grades and associated references or other professional recognitions.
  3. Trainees should be self-motivated individuals who learn by observation and can apply learning experiences to real-life situations. Candidates should be open-minded when approaching problems, be creative and strategic problem solvers, detail oriented, persistent and committed to delivery and success.

PROGRAM DETAILS

  1. The traineeship lasts for a period of two (2) years.
  2. Departments in rotation: Survey, Laboratory, QHSE, Operations.
  3. Duration and timeline of rotation is dependent on business requirements.
  4. The Trainees will get an overview of the business by being involved in projects, which may be cross-functional or related to the functional area that they are working in at the time.  Cross-functional teams may include the enabling functions in Billing, Finance, HR, IT and at times, Management.
  5. The Trainees will have an assigned mentor in each functional area of their rotation.
  6. Training should include corporate training (induction, policies etc.), in-house experiential training, on-the-job training, formal training and mentoring.
  7. Based on the final assessment, Management will decide on a full-time position that should be offered to the Trainees within their areas of interest and strengths while aligning with organizational needs, generally in the Operations department.
  8. A Certificate of Completion will be issued to the Trainees who complete a full two (2) years’ training but are not offered a permanent role.
