Cargo hoses, bunker hoses, and ship-to-ship strings carry more risk than any other component in a transfer system, and they age faster than the pipework they connect to. Our flexible hose testing covers hydrostatic testing at the pressures called for by the hose specification and the governing regulation, electrical continuity and resistance checks, elongation measurement, and visual inspection of the carcass, couplings, and end fittings. Hoses that pass are tagged with test dates and pressures recorded, and hoses that fail are documented clearly enough to justify replacement to a client or an insurer. In-service hydrostatic testing is commonly performed above the maximum working pressure by a factor set in the applicable standard. We confirm the exact figure against the hose specification and the governing regulation before testing rather than applying a single default.
Floating and submarine hoses are assessed in place through condition monitoring across the string, with attention to motion-related wear, buoyancy, and connection integrity. Dock hoses can be isolated and pressure tested directly, which makes their testing cycle more straightforward.
