Amspec Academy of Italy is proud to announce a new collaboration with the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry of the University of Genoa. As a result of this partnership, we now offer Nuclear Magnetic Resonance imaging analysis (NMR) to our clients. This cutting-edge analytical technique allows us to examine the molecular structure and chemical composition of various products, from FAME biodiesel and vegetable oils to diesel, gasoline, and jet fuel, providing detailed information on their chemical properties and interactions. NMR has many advantages, including speed, non-destructibility, and wide applicability, not to mention that this technique requires only a small amount of sample to be performed.

With this new capability, Amspec Italy aims to enhance its analytical capabilities and provide our clients with the most advanced testing services. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the University of Genoa and exploring new avenues of scientific research and development.

AmSpec Academy now has additional capabilities to perform the following tests:

ASTM D 5292: Standard Test Method for Aromatic Carbon Contents of Hydrocarbon Oils by High-Resolution Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy

D4273-05: Standard Test Methods for Polyurethane Raw Materials Determination of Primary Hydroxyl Content of Polyether Polyols

D4875-05:  Standard Test Methods of Polyurethane Raw Materials: Determination of the Polymerized Ethylene Oxide Content of Polyether Polyols

D5292-99: Standard Test Method for Aromatic Carbon Contents of Hydrocarbon Oils by High-Resolution Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy

ISO 11543:2000: Modified starch — Determination of hydroxypropyl content — Method using proton nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometry

ISO 10632:2000:  Oilseed residues — Simultaneous determination of oil and water contents — Method using pulsed nuclear
