MLA Operator
| Position Description |
| Purpose |
| A MLA Operator provides all services in connection with Marine Loading Arm (MLA) operations at the Marine Terminal. A MLA Operator must operate the Marine Loading Arm safely and efficiently during required windows of nominated cargo operations. |
| Main Duties |
| · Adhering to all environment, health, safety and security protocols;
· Working under Santos permit to work procedure; · Confirm correct pipeline lineups; · Pre-start inspections (including MLA and hydraulic system); · Driving loading arms out to vessel manifold; · Connecting to specific flange on manifold on vessel; · Undertaking emergency release coupling functionality tests; · Achieve leak free connection; · Loading arm changes during cargo operations; · Disconnecting from flanges on manifold and stowing MLA; · Close-out inspection; · Reporting of all faults, hazards or incidents. |
| Other Duties and Requirements |
| · Maintain confidentiality, specifically, do not disclose any proprietary information and data in the performance of your work duties for AmSpec.
· Work within all company policies and procedures and, behaves in accordance with the AmSpec Group Global Code of Conduct. · Ensure that required qualifications, inductions and licenses are current at all times. · Other tasks as directed. |

| · A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the ship to shore oil, gas or bulk liquid services
· A valid Australian Drivers License · Current MSIC · Evidence of the right to live and work in Australia |

| · Personnel management
· A mechanical aptitude · Leadership and planning skills · Ability to work well under pressure · Excellent communication skills – written and verbal · Working knowledge of Microsoft Office · Understanding of product specifications and testing requirements · Experience with pipelines, value exchanges and manifolds · Experience with tankage, including venting |
