On May 30th, competitors, supporters, and conservation advocates gathered in Samburu County, Kenya, for the 37th edition of the Rhino Charge, the annual off-road challenge that raises funds for the Rhino Ark Charitable Trust and its vital work conserving mountain ecosystems across the country.
As a proud sponsor of Car 28 – Team Taz, AmSpec was honored to support a team that demonstrated determination and resilience throughout the challenge. Facing intense heat, rugged terrain, and a few technical issues along the way, Team Taz pushed forward to secure 29th place out of 58 teams while raising US$9,709 for conservation efforts.
Beyond the competition, what stood out most was the event’s incredible spirit. Despite the demanding conditions, participants, volunteers, sponsors, and spectators came together to support a shared mission, creating an atmosphere that celebrated perseverance, teamwork, and environmental stewardship.
Together, the Rhino Charge community achieved a remarkable milestone, raising a record-breaking KES 365 million (approximately USD 2.82 million) for Rhino Ark. These funds will support critical conservation initiatives that protect Kenya’s mountain ecosystems and water towers, including the Aberdares, Mount Kenya, and Mau landscapes, helping safeguard natural resources that millions of Kenyans depend on.
Congratulations to Team Taz and to everyone who contributed to the success of Rhino Charge 2026. AmSpec is proud to support initiatives that bring people together and create a lasting positive impact for communities, ecosystems, and future generations.
