Position Summary
The Driver is responsible for providing safe, efficient, and reliable transportation services for employees, visitors, samples, documents, and company materials. The role ensures that all transportation activities are conducted in compliance with Company policies, traffic regulations, and safety requirements while maintaining Company vehicles in good operating condition.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation Services
- Safely transport employees, clients, visitors, and authorized personnel to and from designated locations.
- Transport laboratory samples, documents, equipment, and operational materials as required.
- Ensure timely pickup and delivery of samples, reports, and other Company-related items.
- Support operational and administrative teams with transportation requirements.
- Plan efficient travel routes to ensure timely completion of assignments.
Vehicle Maintenance & Care
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
- Monitor fuel, oil, coolant, tire pressure, and general vehicle condition.
- Ensure assigned vehicles are kept clean, presentable, and properly maintained at all times.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, maintenance requirements, and breakdowns promptly.
- Coordinate routine servicing and maintenance activities as directed.
Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to all traffic laws, Company policies, and safety regulations.
- Ensure safe driving practices are followed at all times.
- Maintain a valid driving license and comply with all legal driving requirements.
- Report accidents, incidents, traffic violations, or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Ensure vehicle registration, insurance, and other required documentation remain valid.
Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate vehicle logs, mileage records, fuel consumption records, and trip reports.
- Assist with the collection and delivery of documents, permits, invoices, and operational paperwork.
- Support administrative and operational functions as required.
- Coordinate with operations and laboratory personnel regarding transportation schedules.
Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE)
- Comply with all Company HSSE policies and procedures.
- Ensure safe transportation of personnel, samples, and equipment.
- Follow emergency response procedures when required.
- Participate in Company safety meetings and training programs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle category.
- Defensive driving certification is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years of professional driving experience.
- Experience working within oil & gas, inspection, logistics, laboratory, or industrial environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with local road networks and transportation regulations.
Knowledge & Skills
- Good knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
- Safe driving record and strong safety awareness.
- Ability to maintain vehicle records and logs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and after-hours assignments when required.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct.

Working Conditions
The role involves frequent travel to offices, laboratories, terminals, refineries, ports, client locations, and other operational sites. The position may require overtime, weekend work, and flexibility in working hours based on operational requirements.
