Lab Chemist – AmSpec LLC, Pasadena, Texas

Performing GC Analysis for each Crude Assay Job. Performing ASTM & UOP analytical testing for each Crude Assay job.  Analyzing GC results to ensure operating efficiency of distillation process and/ or testing equipment. Receiving, compiling, and verifying the data resulting from lab testing. Responsible for documenting and maintaining accurate records for all customer samples.  Assisting with changing gas cylinders daily for GC Instruments or as required by the GC Chemist.  Any other related duties as required, as appropriate and as directed by the Dept Manager.

 REQUIREMENTS ARE: 

Bachelor’s degree in  Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
1Year experience with.  1 year of experience in Gas Chromatography method testing.  1 year of experience with comprehension of refinery distillation and mass balance.  1 year of experience with providing technical support to the laboratory with regard to GC instrumentation.  1 year of experience calculating refinery distillation column performance from GC.   5 days/40hrs/wk; $74,672.00/year.
