Lab Chemist

Job duties include the following: Responsible for performing tests on samples for purposes such as quantitative analysis, quality control, and process control as well as general maintenance of laboratory equipment and physical maintenance of the laboratory; Specific duties include: receiving, reviewing and understanding work orders for all received samples; performing required analysis according to customer and industry standards and requirements; documentation of each test result; assisting newly hired lab technicians with correct methodology for analytical testing and reporting; preparing corresponding analytical reports; performing quality assurance/quality control testing and assisting with control charts; maintaining laboratory instruments, equipment and supplies; and performing other related duties as required or assigned. Requires Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry plus 3 years of relevant experience.. Experience must include: 3 years of experience in testing and troubleshooting lab equipment (ie. Gas Chromatography, x-ray spectrometry, HPLC and automatic titrators);

3 years of experience maintaining ISO 9001 accreditation; 3 years of experience providing technical support and expertise to the laboratory with regard to instrumentation; and 3 years of experience handling and documenting corrective and preventive actions. $80,974/year.
