National Business Development Manager – Agricultural Services 

AmSpec is a market leader in independent inspection, testing, verification and specialized technical services to the Oil, Gas and Chemical sector (exploration, production, refining, storage, transportation) and to the Marine, Minerals and Agricultural sectors.

The right candidate:

If you have experience in the Testing Inspection Certification industry within the agricultural services sector or within agricultural trading, shipping, logistics with business development / sales experience we want to hear from you.

The big picture:

Our expanding AmSpec Agri business line now offers this full-time role in Adelaide or East Coast reporting to the Agricultural Country Manager.

This role is expected to start in January 2025.

Specific role responsibilities:

  • Keep an overview of the agricultural sector market & clients
  • Assist the leadership team with defining the local sales & business development strategy and budget with the market requirements.
  • Achieve annual sales targets by successfully implementing sales and marketing strategies.
  • Liaise with global sales team to coordinate sales efforts within the region.
  • Gather market intelligence to formulate sales strategies.
  • Regular contact with customers and potential clients.
  • Establish and manage a customer contact program to include after sales support & service.
  • Develop & maintain local marketing material in synergy with the company guidelines.
  • Assist with development of social media articles to promote activities within the region.
  • Attendance regional trade fairs and industry conferences.
  • Provide general support to the overall AmSpec Agri operation in Australia.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised as well as within a team environment
  • Experience with Microsoft software applications (Word, Excel)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of grain industry sampling, testing & industry standards advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to meet set deadlines
  • Excellent organization skills including ability to prioritize tasks
  • Pro-active, ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel regularly interstate and occasionally overseas
