Amspec Brazil post 2025

Analyzing organic chlorides in crude oil has become increasingly relevant for quality control in the energy industry. To meet this market demand, AmSpec’s laboratories in Brazil now offer ASTM D4929 analysis, utilizing the Sindie+Cl (XOS) equipment. This technology enables precise measurement of organic chlorides in the naphtha fraction of crude oil through X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (Procedure C of ASTM D4929), ensuring reliable and traceable results.

Additionally, we have developed an adapted method based on ASTM D4929 for measuring organic chlorides in renewable feedstocks, such as animal fats and vegetable oils. For this application, we use oxidative combustion followed by micro coulometric titration, performed with equipment from Horiba, also available in our laboratories in Brazil

This service expansion reinforces AmSpec’s commitment to providing cutting-edge analytical solutions for various Energy industry sectors. To learn more about our testing solutions, email us at brazilcrude@amspecgroup.com or brazilclean@amspecgroup.com.
