We have successfully installed the advanced PETRODIST 100S and PETRODIST 200S petroleum distillation systems at our Rio laboratory. Our tests are conducted in accordance with ASTM D2892 and ASTM D5236, as well as recognized industry standards for testing oil fractions.
A crude assay is a comprehensive analysis of the physical and chemical properties of crude oil, including the boiling range fractions from the oil distillation process. This important information helps refiners and traders make informed decisions regarding crude oil and crude oil blends, ultimately optimizing both profits and the refining process.
In Brazil, the boiling range fractions generated from crude assay testing are mandatory for oil custody transfers, as outlined in Resolution ANP/Inmetro 1/2013. Furthermore, RANP 874/2022 establishes pricing criteria for oil based on crude assay results.
