What began in 2005 as a last-minute adventure for Torben Rune has become a cherished tradition. Every year, Team Taz—an international crew of friends—races not just for the thrill, but to raise funds for a cause close to their hearts: Rhino Ark.
Rhino Ark Kenya Charitable Trust is a Kenyan charitable trust dedicated to protecting endangered species, such as the black rhino, and conserving critical ecosystems. Their flagship achievement is constructing an electric fence around the Aberdare Conservation Area to prevent poaching, human-wildlife conflict, and illegal logging. Their impact now extends across forest protection, community engagement, and biodiversity conservation, encompassing programs such as the Bongo Surveillance Project.
