This important milestone recognizes the laboratory’s technical competence and strengthens AmSpec’s ability to provide reliable, internationally recognized analytical testing services to customers across the UAE and the wider region.

Recognition of Our Agri-Food Testing Capabilities

The accreditation assessment covered the laboratory’s Agri-Food testing capabilities and the associated technical and quality management requirements included within its approved scope.

The accredited scope encompasses key testing disciplines, including:

  • Chemical analysis
  • Residues and contaminants testing
  • Food product authenticity testing
  • Molecular biology
  • Microbiological testing

These capabilities support customers throughout the agriculture and food supply chain in verifying product quality, safety, authenticity, and compliance with applicable requirements.

A Comprehensive Assessment Process

Achieving ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation followed a detailed assessment conducted by IAS of the laboratory’s operations, technical capabilities and quality systems.

The evaluation covered the laboratory’s facilities, equipment, personnel competence, test methods, technical documentation and quality management system, as well as its overall compliance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025.

The assessors provided positive feedback regarding the laboratory’s preparedness, technical capabilities, facilities, and implementation of its quality management system.

The successful outcome demonstrates that the laboratory has established the technical competence and quality processes required to produce valid and reliable results for the testing activities included within its accredited scope.
